Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second check to your sign-in: after your password, Pixwel emails you a verification link to confirm it’s really you. Even if someone has your password, they can’t get in without access to your inbox.
Pixwel’s 2FA is email-based — you receive a verification link by email. There’s no authenticator app or text-message code to set up.

Turn it on

1

Open Preferences

Click your user profile, then the settings gear, and open the Profile tab.
2

Enable Two Factor Authentication

Tick Two Factor Authentication.
From then on, when you sign in you’ll see “Two factor authentication enabled. Please check your email for a verification link” — open the email and click the link to finish signing in.
The verification link expires after about 10 minutes. If it lapses, just sign in again to get a fresh one.

When your organization enforces it

Your studio can require 2FA for everyone in the organization. If it does:
  • 2FA is already on for your account and you can’t turn it off — the checkbox is locked, with the note “Two Factor Authentication is enforced by your organization.”
  • You’ll go through the email verification step every time it’s required at sign-in.
Administrators turn this on per studio with the Require 2FA setting on the Studios tab of the Admin Dashboard.
